What is DELF/DALF ?
The diplôme d’Etudes en Langue Française (DELF) and Diplôme Approfondi de Langue Française (DALF) are official diplomas awarded by the French Ministry of National Education, Youth and Sports. These diplomas certify the French language skills and competency of the candidate. DELF and DALF have a lifelong validity.
How is the exam structured?
DELF and DALF are available various levels corresponding to the levels of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages. For each level, the exam is divided into 4 parts: listening, reading, writing, and speaking. A total mark of at least 50/100 and a minimum mark of 5 in each component are required in order to be awarded the diploma.
Who can take which DELF/DALF exam?
- Kids & teenagers aged 7 to 12 can take DELF PRIM (levels A1.1, A1, A2 on offer)
- Teenagers aged 13 to 18 can take DELF JUNIOR (levels A1, A2, B1, B2 on offer)
- Candidates of all ages can take DELF/DALF GENERAL PUBLIC (levels A1, A2, B1, B2, C1, C2 on offer)
